Muscletech MassTech Review

Maximuscle ThermobolSpecifically aimed at those looking to add weight en mass, mass-gain products are typically packed with all kinds of protein, carbohydrates and fats that have less emphasis on tone and more emphasis on pure bulk.

I personally always shy away from this kind of product (due to a mix of vanity and concern that I'll forget to stop taking it and hulk-out) so it was a big step for me to invest. Thankfully, I had a brand-spanking new tub of MX-LS7 on hand in case (shock horror) my body fat started to spiral out of control, and so with trepidation I approached the tub and began to indulge...

First impressions: tastes great, mixes reasonably well if slightly thicker than your average protein shake.  5 scoops (the recommended amount) seems a bit excessive though, I'd opt for 4 instead and if you're looking to get the best out of this (not cheap) product you may consider mixing with water instead of milk. Although this detracts from the taste slightly it will allow for rapid absorption (a must if you're working out regularly).

Maximuscle Thermobol ReviewSecond impression: It works! Lots of carbs and lots of protein means good output at the gym. Works fantastically well as a recovery aid as well as a mass gain product, too. I took mass-tech for three weeks (during which I hit the gym pretty hard) and added about 9lbs to my frame. For all you ectomorphs out there, this is genuinely a god-send.

Third impression: I'm getting fat! Okay, I might be over reacting. I haven't checked my body fat in a few weeks and it could be a problem with the lighting I suppose, but I've definitely lost some definition (specifically in the chest and abdominal area). Frankly, as much as the strength gains are desirable, I'm not willing to sacrifice my abs for it!

Bottom line: As far as doing what it says on the tin is concerned, MassTech is a truly brilliant product. But don't expect to be able to retain a six-pack whilst you're adding weight with this shake; it won't work.
